7 Things - keeping it going January 14, 2009
Incase you haven't heard, the 7 things phanomia is going around PEI. Rob Lantz tagged me and therefore I must follow through with the idea.
The 7 things idea is simple, its the same idea as in the movie "Pay It Forward" or chain letters.
While I don't usually participate in forwarding chain letters here goes my first chain letter forwarding attempt.
Here are the rules as posted in most blogs:
- Link to your original tagger(s) and list these rules in your post.
- Share seven facts about yourself in the post.
- Tag seven people at the end of your post by leaving their names and the links to their blogs.
- Let them know they’ve been tagged.
And now, the seven things:
- I can't stand debt. I have never had credit problems (okay maybe once where Futureshop put me on a pay no interest for 3 months deal but forgot I was on it or something) but I absolutely hate having a loan. The only debt I've felt comfortable with is my government student loan where I pay no interest. This is a good thing and usually leads to me paying off every loan very quickly.
- My trip to Australia in 2001 was on the tax payers dollar through Army Cadets and surrounded 9/11. I purchased a lot of magazines regarding the attack. The 12 of us that went thought we'd be stuck in Australia for a while.
- I remember stealing hockey cards from Detroit Red Wings 121st overall pick in the 2001 entry draft, goalie Drew MacIntyre. My parents ended up making me give them back.
- When I was a kid I was horribly scared of lightning. Today, I love it. See photo below.
- I used to be a huge hockey fan, NHL everyday. Then Roy went to Colorado and I began to loose interest.
- I have a secret desire to be a chef & car mechanic. I don't cook that often but when I do, it's good.
- I'm really picky. I've been looking for a house for 2 years. The only one I was really interested in was purchased right after I looked at it. The new owners had a conditional offer in that they'd buy it if they sold their house. I guess they ended up getting the mortgage approved without selling their other house. It's the brown house that you can barely see in the above map, I'll probably buy something I can fix into what I want.
And to keep the ball rolling:
