I am sitting in at Merchantman Gallery which is a relatively new little cafe at 56 Water St. The cafe is extremely small and is connected to the back of the Merchantman Pub's kitchen. Although I am sitting beside the window overlooking water street, you can hear the people in the kitchen as they do the things they do.
The cafe offers has a busy feeling to it because of the sound coming from the kitchen. The smallness of it makes me feel I should be making my own hot chocolate, especially with the hot chocolate stuff being closer to my table then the cash register when the employee stands. Not to mention he insisted on me sitting down while he makes it.
While serving another customer the person at the cashier offered a surprising remark, "I made it myself this morning", definitely offers an additional touch to the cafe. Even the smaller cafe's do not add that same touch.
Photo taken and will be published.
