When using Priceline Negiotator, enter in a price lower then what you're willing to pay. For instance, if you are wanting to pay $60, put in $30. Even if it is a 3 star hotel.
Today, I placed an order for a 3 star or above hotel and put $60 and it was accepted. Now I am kicking myself for not putting in $40 and seeing if that would have been accepted.
The price point on priceline does not matter, if you put in $180 you'll be getting the same room as if you put in $60! Hotel company also doesn't matter, for $60 we'll be staying at the Marriott. As we are arriving extremely late at night, we won't exactly need/care about the small things.
As well, priceline does NOT allow you to select the hotel you want which is a major downside.
