Today I went in to get my drivers license renewed. It was a simple process, go in, answer the 5 questions, pay my $50 and I got a new drivers license.
The 5 questions consisted of health related questions such as, have you had any such and such health problems in the past year? Have you gone a year without your license and real general questions.
I think our driver's license should be revamped so they ask other questions as well such as random questions on what do you do when merging? Who has the right-a-way when two cars approach stop signs and stop at the same time? Random questions that really mean something more then are you healthy enough to drive.
While it is great the province is attempting to keep people off the road who have vision problems and other hazardous problems, they should also make use of the technology they have at some of the AccessPEI stations such as the eye sight test.
