Every now and again I will get asked what it is like living downtown and if the noise bothers me. Every year I typically say the same thing, nah it doesn't. For instance last year I was woken up more times during Jack Frost (twice) then I was woken up during the Festival of Lights (I didn't get to attend every night due to prior commitments). This year, I am either becoming more easier to wake up or things outside our place are getting nosier.
And let me tell you, its the later. Things downtown are getting noisier now that Peakes Bar has opened for the Summer.
I am all for going out and having a grande ol time but the amount of noise going on since the opening of Peakes is unreal. It is almost as if the people doing the yelling and screaming saved up all their energy that they didn't get to use during the winter (since Peakes is closed in the winter) and are letting it all out now.
