With Maid Marian's burnt to the ground, a friend and I decided to go out to the Runway Cafe this morning at 11:00 for some breakfast.
The Runway Cafe is located at the old airport which is at 250 Brackley Point Road which is across the street from a small church but is before the Vogue Optical manufacturing plant in the Charlottetown Airport Industrial Park.
The Cafe is a large old meeting room that was converting into the Cafe when it moved from the front of the airport to the back.
I ordered the special, the Bacon Cheeseburger and Fries, with a side of gravy. They typically serve breakfast all day except for Sunday's when they only serve breakfast from 6AM to sometime between 11AM and 12AM.
The food was good and portions were also good which was an added bonus since the Cheeseburger was on sale for $7.95.
The service was a bit slow and the server wasn't really on her toes just yet since she had just started working there. The long wait for our food was also a bit disappointing however things were pretty busy.
The phone number for the Runway Cafe is 628-1330.
