A fire fighter was just telling me that when fire fighters were fighting the Maid Marian's fire, they had a problem with the fire hydrants that there wasn't enough water being pumped through the fire hydrant to supply all the fire trucks on the scene.
This was caused because the pipes connecting to the main stream weren't big enough and it was causing a bottle neck, thus slowing down the water pressure being sent to the fire trucks.
I think I will be using this analogy from now when referring to any bottle necks as opposed to using my previous very similar city water pipes/tap analogy.
