Today, Bell Canada dropped the cost of their cell/data phone plans to help gain some of the customers who don't like Rogers iPhone prices. They announced it today with the new Samsung Instinct that will be coming on August the 8th of this year.
The Samsung Instinct is the same as the iPhone in numerous ways except (from what I understand) you can not use it as a gateway to the internet for your computer.
While some may not like using the Samsung as it is not an iPhone, it does carry practically all the same features.
This is big news as it may force Rogers to lower their pricing plans of the iPhone or face loosing the potential customers to Bell. Of course, I'd hope the end result would be that both companies get into a pricing war to help lower the Canadian prices which are considerably higher then our American counterparts.
