Yesterday my cousin and I decided to take a trip up to Cavendish and experience what Cavendish had to offer. Our first stop was at Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum and we took a quick walk through.
As this would be somewhere in the range of my 100th-150th time going through we zoomed through pretty quick. For my cousin, she would also been through quite a bit as our uncle Warren is the manager and I used to work there. Total cost for this was $0 as the assistant manager, Karen, provided us with the needed passes to go through.
Our second stop was to Burlington Amusement Park for a ride on the go-carts which was a key stop for the trip as my cousin and I have a go-cart competition going on. For 3 laps around on the go-carts the cost was 16 tickets at $1 a ticket (with taxes). At $8 a piece for the go-carts we found that rather high but we understand we're being suckered like most Tourists are. We decided to purchase two more tickets and do the bumber cars which were 4 tickets each.
After our stop at Burlington, which is definately looking in rough shape from our adventures years ago, we continued down to Kensington to experience the Haunted Mansion. The Haunted Mansion was a wonderful experience and kept us on our toes the entire time we were there. It is what an attraction should be and is a amazing attraction as we both loved it, we will definitely be back. After our trip to Kensington we drove back into Cavendish and went for a Beaver Tail and two scopes of ice creame from the #1 rated ice cream in Canada, Cows.
After our expensive yet tasy ice creame we jumped back in the car and head back to Charlottetown for a night with friends.
Today a few other friends and I will be visiting Cavendish and hopefully one of the festivals going on here on PEI.
