I am a firm believer in supporting your economy but when it comes down to it, some local options can be a rip off and I am not interested in getting royally ripped off like it was suggested by Halifax BMW.
For instance, I called Halifax BMW today to get a quote on a rear rotor for my X5. The cost for just the rotor through them would be $250 without installation however if I was to purchase the rotor, brakes and brake sensor package it would be $450 installed.
A call to a BMW dealer in New Jersey who I order parts through revealed that the cost for the same BMW rotor would be $57.50 plus $35 shipping & handling.
I also inquired about a sensor for the passenger side seat which determines if there is someone sitting in it or not. The sensor through the NJ BMW Dealer would be $90.25 whereas Halifax BMW informed me it would cost me $1600 as I would have to get a whole new seat.
As you can imagine, I will be ordering the parts through the New Jersey BMW Dealer and not Halifax BMW.
