Why? This is rather backwards. November 18, 2008

Why would the RCMP, or Provincial Highway Safety Division bother to release information on an upcoming safety check? Informing the public of such an event prior to said event happening is rather ironic.

You'd think the RCMP or Province Highways would know that this does nothing but raises a big red flag.

I am all for the RCMP or Highways releasing the stats of such safety checks, but come on, if you really wanna catch someone, you don't tell them your gonna be on the road looking for em.

RCMP Traffic Services, with the assistance of Kings District RCMP and the
Provincial Highway Safety Division, will be conducting safety checkpoints in
the Kings County area today (Wednesday).
The checkpoints are being held to commemorate the National Day of
Remembrance for Road Crash Victims.
