9 Drinking and Driving Offenses = 35 days December 18, 2008

I just finished reading in The Guardian about how a 55-year old Charlottetown man was sentenced to jail for 35 days for drinking and driving.

Why do I feel this is wrong? Because it is the 9th "alcohol-related driving charge". The 55 year old man ended up putting his car in the ditch. Upon doing so, what did he do? He continued to drink two or three more beers while sitting in the car in the ditch.
